Medicare Mental Health Therapist

Provider of Mental Health counselling services under the provisions of the Better Access to Mental Health Medicare program.

Bryan is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker providing counselling services to clients referred by General Practitioners and Psychiatrists. Clients with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, bereavement and other conditions are referred for therapeutic counselling. This accreditation is granted by the Commonwealth Department of Health.

Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FRDP) or Mediator

Bryan is registered to assist separating couples to work through issues related to the management of their children post separation. This registration is granted by the Attorney General’s Department. Mediation is a requirement before divorce proceedings can be filed in the Family Court

WorkCover Counsellor

Bryan is accredited to provide therapeutic counselling to injured workers under the provisions of the Workers Compensation regulations in NSW.

  • B.Social Admin.(Social Work) (Flinders)
  • Master Health Services Management (Newcastle)
  • Graduate Diploma of Counselling (Institute of Counselling Sydney)
  • Certificate Gestalt Therapy (Sydney Gestalt Institute)

Specialist training in: Family Systems Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, couple counselling, supporting children post separation, managing high level conflict, clinical supervision.

Bryan has practised as a couple, family and individual counsellor and mediator in the following roles:

  • Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

  • Clinical counsellor for people with depression, anxiety, bereavement, threat of self- harm or suicide; life transitions

  • Couple counselor for those experiencing high level conflict, infidelity, pre and post separation 

  • Counsellor of parents in a separation process

  • Family therapist assisting parents, children and siblings to cope where a family member has a serious mental illness

  • Specialised professional supervisor of priests, clergy, chaplains and parish workers

  • Professional supervisor of human service professionals and managers
